Sheriff looking for suspect with connection to gun shop robbery
JASPER, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help finding a suspect with a connection to the Mountain Mart gun shop robbery.
They are looking for Dustin James Stephens.
He was pulled over by Monteagle Police on December 20th, but ran away from officers on foot.
When they searched his abandoned vehicle, they found a gun that was taken in the Mountain Mart robbery two days before on the Cumberland Plateau in Marion County.
That happened in the early morning hours, when a suspect dressed in camo, came in through a window screen and took 28 guns, mostly handguns.
The ATF has announced an $8000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
