Sheriff: “Major” Meth dealer busted in Marion County

JASPER, Tennessee (WDEF) – Sheriff Bo Burnett says a major drug figure has been indicted in Marion County.

He says Michael Shane Dyer of Sequatchie, Tennessee already has six felony convictions in Marion, Grundy and Sequatchie Counties.

He was nabbed in a five month long investigation involving undercover drug buys.

Sheriff Burnett says “This joint investigation between the Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Task Force has helped to shut down a major supplier of methamphetamine that was operating in the middle of Marion County.”

The Sheriff says they seized 845 grams of meth, 4 illegally held guns, and $6,436 in cash during the investigation.
