Sheriff Makes Arrest in Spring City Shooting

Spring City, Tenn. (WDEF) – A woman called the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday night after 11PM and told them she was shot.

She was taken to the Rhea Medical Center and then on to a Chattanooga hospital.

The victim knew her assailant.

Investigators have charged Gary Waldo with Attempted First Degree Murder.

He remains at the Rhea County Jail while the investigation continues.
