Sheriff: Party led to shooting near Battlefield Parkway Saturday morning
Suspect faces murder, drug, gambling and alcohol charges
RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect for a murder over the weekend.
Deputies responded to the shooting around 4:30 AM on Saturday on T. J. Arnold Circle, near Three Notch Road and Battlefield Parkway.
They found a car with bullet holes in it on the other side of the Parkway.
Jarvious Brooks was inside suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Sheriff says his detectives learned there was a gathering of people at a home on T.J. Arnold Circle where a fight broke out.
“This is an unfortunate story about alleged illegal activity resulting in violence and the loss of life,” Sheriff Sisk said.
“Our investigation reveals there was a party with illegal drugs, alcohol and gambling when, for still unknown reasons, a fight erupted. We have also learned that several people at the party may be affiliated with, or associates of gangs and we are working with our law enforcement partners and other individuals to develop additional information.”
They have charged 42 year old Eddie Charles Ellis with the murder, plus drug, gambling, alcohol, gun and other charges.
The Sheriff asks anyone with information on the case to call Detective Brittany Gilleland at (706) 935-2424.
