Sheriff suspends Detective in Toney Video

The Hamilton County deputy in a controversial video has been suspended.

Detective Blake Kilpatrick is seen kicking and punching a handcuffed Charles Toney during an arrest on December 3rd.

He was on desk duty, but now Sheriff Jim Hammond suspended him with pay.

The case is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice.

Sheriff Hammond says if Kilpatrick is indicted he will have to terminate him.
