Sheriff’s candidate arrested for impersonating an officer
FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – A candidate for Sheriff in northeast Alabama has been arrested himself.
57 year old Terry Wayne Wadsworth from DeKalb County faces charges of computer tampering and Impersonating a Peace Officer.
The State Bureau of Investigation handled the case.
He was indicted in November.
The Southern Torch reports the indictment accuses him of illegally getting information from the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center.
Wadsworth is an Army veteran who is running for Sheriff of DeKalb County next spring.
