Sheriff’s Office searching for car-jacking suspect

Hamilton County, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a car-jacking suspected.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the reported car-jacking happened in the early morning hours of Monday, February 13th in the Lakesite area.

Officials say a man approached the victim as he got out of his car in a parking lot of a business and told the victim that he needed the car.

The Sheriff’s Office says he then brandished a pistol, ordered the victim into the passenger seat, drove a few miles away, and told the victim to get out of the car before the suspect drove off.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, their investigation has led deputies to suspect the man in this surveillance photo from a nearby store who they have yet to identify.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to help identify the suspect in the photo.
