Shooting this evening in northern Hamilton County

GEORGETOWN, Tennessee (WDEF) – Hamilton County deputies are investigating a shooting Tuesday evening at a home in the northern end of the county.

It happened around 5 PM in the 11200 block of Melanie Lane, near Highway 58.

It is a rural area near Georgetown.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but authorities do not know the extent of the injury at this time.
