#ShopSmall Small Business Saturday brings several businesses to Chattanooga Public Library

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Small businesses across the country were highlighted today, even some right here in the scenic city.

It’s that time of year where you are buying decorations, buying gifts for the holidays, and several small businesses set up shop at the public library in Downtown Chattanooga for you to shop small.

One small business owner is also trying to save the environment.

Cash Daniels says, “The more I kept learning the more I kept wanting to do it.”

Daniels sells reusable bags that were made from T-shirts and reusable straws in hopes that you will trade out your plastic bags and straws for his.

“If feels good that somebody actually cares about what’s happening in our ocean and Rivers just right outside in the Tennessee River and there is micro plastics just in the river right outside,” says Daniels.

Another business owner is coming out of retirement and using her gift of packing sweet treats with love to be a blessing to others.

A Blessing In and Out of the Box owner, Johonna Litter says, “I’m not trying to get rich off of this, I’m just trying to let them experience the things that I’m used to doing I’m just thankful that I can do this. I’m thankful.”

These small businesses are just a couple of the ones born right here in Chattanooga.
