Shots fired at Hamilton Place Mall

UPDATE:

Chattanooga Police have arrested the suspect in this shooting, and he is facing charges.

They arrested two other individuals as well.

Chattanooga Police said they responded to a call of shots fired at 2056 Hamilton Place Boulevard. This happened just after 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The CPD said they quickly located a black Infiniti fleeing the scene, and they pursued the vehicle.

Officers said during the pursuit, the driver struck two vehicles, but no one was injured.

The driver was a juvenile. He had a passenger with him, Anthony Douglas, as well.

Chattanooga Police stopped them at 4100 Jersey Pike. They took both the juvenile and Douglas into custody.

These two told police that they were shot at by someone in a dark grey Audi sedan. Officers verified this information to be true through video.

However, CPD charged the juvenile with resisting arrest, evading, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and other traffic offenses.

They also charged Douglas with resisting arrest, evading arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.

Gunshots damaged several vehicles at Hamilton Place, police confirmed.

They state that they found the suspect in the Audi sedan on the 9000 block of Lawford Way.

Police identified the suspect as Montrel Price and they arrested him. He is facing charges including two counts of aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment and vandalism over $1,000.

In addition, CPD said more charges are pending further investigation.

From images, it appears to have happened in the parking lot of the Dick’s Sporting Goods.
