Should Soldiers be Allowed to Carry Firearms at Military Facilities?

Should our military be armed at military bases, reserve centers, and recruiting centers like the ones attacked on Thursday?
Some people belive that the men and women at the Armed Forces Center on Lee Highway could have stopped the gunman if they were only armed.
Weapons have been banned at recruiting centers like this one since 1993.
Since then shootings have occurred at Fort Wood in 2009 and 2014 and at the Washington Navy Yard in 2013. Now Chattanooga is added to that list.
Multiple online petitions have even started circulating to end gun free zones in state and federal military facilities.
"We were attacked because it was an easy target. There’s a sign that says there’s no guns allowed here yet somebody in a mustang pulled in with a gun but our marines and navy didn’t have guns," said Maycie Hammonds
Tennessee State senator Mike Bell has already  filed a resolution for federal action to end the malitary facility gun free zones.
