Signal Mountain Firefighters Rescue Dog

Hamilton County, Tenn. (WDEF) – Around 12:30pm Sunday afternoon, Signal Mountain firefighters responded to a call that a dog had fallen off the bluff on North Palisades Drive.

According to officials, the owner says the dog – a Golden Lab – jumped a wall after taking off running after an animal in the distance.

Officials say rescuers were able to repel down the 40 foot bluff to the 84 pound dog and have him back to safety within 20 minutes.

The dog was unharmed.
