Signal Mountain Names Mark Mariakis New Head Football Coach
Signal Mountain, TN-(WDEF-TV) Signal Mountain didn’t have to go far to find their new head football coach.
They just went down the hall and got Mark Mariakis.
Even though Mariakis was a defensive assistant at Boyd for half the year last season, he was also teaching at Signal Mountain.
Mariakis has previous head coaching experience at Ridgeland and Chattanooga Christian.
Said Mariakis:”The one thing I said to the administration is I just appreciate them trusting me, and the folks that we might bring in to do this job. It’s a process and I’m just humbled by the trust. Coach Rankin was wonderful you know at Boyd Buchanan. Great staff. Great season, but you know, life goes on, and I’m excited about the challenge.”
