Signal Mountain Post Office closes Saturday due to technical problems

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Signal Mountain Post Office closed unexpectedly on Saturday.

However, carriers have continued to deliver even with a mail hold in place.

People have taken to putting signs inside their mailboxes to say their mail is on hold.

A sign was posted on the door that the post office was closed due to ‘technical problems.’

There was no shortage of packages left outside in the fog Saturday waiting for delivery.

Viewer, Frances Connor, sent in a photo saying that an employee tipped over an entire cart, trying to recover the mail.

Connor noted, “A Saturday prior to Christmas, when some are expecting to mail their packages, the lights were off and the door was locked.”

No other details about this situation has been released.
