Signal Mountain rescue

Signal Mountain, TN (WDEF) – An 80-year-old man who fell 50-60 feet off the bluff on Signal Mountain Friday night has been rescued.

Fire officials say he is up and being checked by Hamilton County EMS.

He was running after his dog when he fell.

Officials say he’s conscious and alert.

A rope team extricated him with the help of several other agencies.

He’s being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
