Silverdale Baptist Academy Student Stabbed on Spring Break in Pittsburgh

A Silverdale Baptist Academy student will spend part of her Spring Break in the hospital after being stabbed at a Target store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

According to a post on the SBA facebook page, someone stabbed sophomore Allison Meadows several times in the arm and back, collapsing a lung.

Her injuries are non life threatening.  Witnesses say the attacker stabbed someone outside the store and went inside, when a group followed him.  They say he took Meadows hostage, while she was with her family in the checkout aisle.  Sgt. Tom Huerbin with the Pittsburgh Police Department says "she was dragged around and held at knifepoint briefly.  The store personnel tried to intervene without success."

Witness Dominque Gomez says "she got stabbed about twice.  I seen about five men attack him (suspect) after that, he was just swinging with the knife, the knife was just swinging around."

Four others were stabbed by the suspect, who police took into custody.
