Six Year Old Killed in Ooltewah Crash
Ooltewah (WDEF) – A child has died in an early morning crash in Ooltewah.
Two vehicles collided on 6100 Mountain view Road just after midnight.
Investigators say a VW Passatt was on the wrong side of the road when it hit a Chevy pickup head on.
All three people involved were taken to the hospital.
A six year old passenger in the Passat succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the E-R.
Her mother, 29 year old Rachael Mosier, is in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup was an off-duty police officer.
Rodney Proffitt suffered serious injuries, but is expected to recover.
