Skyy Mims Murder Trial Day 3
Dalton, GA (WDEF) – Erik Avanier reporting from court on Day 3 of the trial for the Detroit woman accused of killing a convenience store clerk in Dalton.
We are hearing testimony from Bartow county sheriff Eddie Leon. We are also watching the video of her arrest at a home in Bartow County.
In the video we Mims being being escorted to a squad car wearing only a bed sheet. According to law enforcement, when they entered the home she was hiding out at, she stood naked at the top of the stairs.
In the video while she is in the back of the police vehicle, we see and here her talking to herself and yelling explicit language. The vehicle has both a dash cm and an internal camera.
At one point in the video, she says, "You all got me so what’s the hold up."
At some point she got out of the handcuffs while being transported to the Bartow County Jail.
Defense attorney got the deputy to admit that Mims was never told why she was being arrested.
