Smoke detector saves woman’s life

HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF)- A smoke detector is the reason one woman got out of her mobile home that was on fire Saturday morning.

According to the Chattanooga Fire Department, the smoke detector woke the woman up and allowed her to escape her home that was fully engulfed with fire.

The woman was uninjured.

The case of the fire was electrical.
