Soddy Daisy Beats Walker Valley 6-1 in District Tournament Semifinals

Cleveland, TN-(WDEF-TV) Soddy Daisy beat Walker Valley 6-1 in game one of their best of three baseball series in the District 5-AAA tournament semifinals on Friday night at Bradley Central high school. The Trojans scored a single run in each of the first four innings to go up 4-0. Spencer Keylon had an RBI base hit in the second, while Spence Gore had an RBI base hit in the fourth. Walker Valley scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI double from Caleb Lawhon. Dylan Perry went the distance on the mound for Soddy Daisy. The two teams battle again on Saturday afternoon at one o’clock. The winner of this best of three series advances to the district championship game where they will face either Bradley Central or Cleveland.  Bradley Central beat the Blue Raiders 3-1 on Friday afternoon in game one of their series.
