Soddy Daisy man indicted for vehicular homicide

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – A Soddy Daisy man was indicted on 10 criminal charges including vehicular homicide.

Russell Stephens, 30, of Soddy Daisy is accused of causing a car crash that killed Brenda Boren, 68.

It happened back in April of last year on Hixson Pike.

According to investigators, Stephens was intoxicated when he collided his vehicle into Boren’s vehicle. 

Boren was pronounced dead at the scene while several other people involved in the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Stephens remains held without bond. His next court date is February 1.
