Songbirds Foundation and Dynamo Studios Merge to Boost Creative Education in Chattanooga

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)Two Chattanooga nonprofits are joining forces to expand opportunities in creative education. The Songbirds Foundation, known for its guitars-for-kids program, has merged with Dynamo Studios, which provides training in audio and video production.

Leaders say the combined organization will create a more seamless pathway for young people, guiding them from learning an instrument to preparing for careers in the creative industries.

John Dooley, Executive Director of the Songbirds Foundation, explained the impact of the merger: “We’re really excited to align more with the creative economy initiative. Previously, Songbirds focused primarily on music education. Now, because of this merger, we can step into broader creative economy roles and provide a career development pathway for students.”

With this partnership, Songbirds and Dynamo Studios aim to transform how creative skills are cultivated in Chattanooga, giving students a clearer path from education to professional opportunities in the arts and media.
