Splash Youth Arts Workshop Hosts Annual Summer Arts Festival

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Splash Youth Arts Workshop hosted its annual Summer Arts Festival in Miller Park Saturday. Splash provides free art classes and supplies to Chattanooga youth. This is the single biggest fundraising event for the non-profit.

Organizers say plenty of people came out to show their support for the young artists.

Charlie Newton, artist and founder of SPLASH, “I don’t know, the concept just came up. I know so many artists that know so many musicians. And why can’t we just come together in the park to support our youth so the main thing was to bring all of Chattanooga together different ethnic groups, all ages together to celebrate the arts, to celebrate our youth and to just have a fun day at Miller Park.”
