Georgia and Tennessee among top five states with highest house price increases

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A study revealed that Tennessee and Georgia are in the top five states where house prices have increased the most in the past five years.

The study was done by Boulder Home Source. It analyzed Zillow data from the past five years.

Georgia had the third highest increase in house prices. Georgia house prices increased 76.5% since 2018. The average house price in Georgia is now about $301,000.

Tennessee also has the fifth highest increase in house prices. Tennessee house prices increased 75.8% since 2018. Tennessee’s average house price is now about $291,000.

The top five states with the largest house price increase are:

  2. Montana
  3. Georgia
  4. New Mexico
  5. Tennessee
