Stevenson man arrested, charged with attempted murder
JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. (WDEF) — A Stevenson, Alabama man is in custody and faces attempted murder charges, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said they arrested 38-year-old Travis Wade Hambrick for shooting a man during a domestic argument.
Jackson County deputies and Stevenson police officers responded to County Road 104 on July 16. There, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The sheriff’s office said the man was shot during an argument. The shooter then fled into the woods near the house.
Emergency personnel treated the victim and took him to Erlanger Hospital. We do not know his current condition.
Law enforcement used tracking dogs to find the suspect, who they identified as Hambrick.
Deputies then took Hambrick into custody and transported him to the Jackson County Jail.
They are charging him with attempted murder.
