Sting operation leads to jail time for Georgia child predators
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. (WDEF) — Three child predators have been sentenced to jail time after an online sting operation conducted by Georgia
law enforcement.
Law enforcement officers posed as minors during the sting operation, engaging in conversations with individuals who thought they were communicating with actual children.
The first case involved Micah Van Donaldson attempted to speak with a fictitious 14-year-old girl.
Donaldson asked the girl for pictures of her underwear and genitalia.
After texting with her, he arranged a meet at a local gas station.
He was instead met with law enforcement, and was arrested.
According to the Lookout Mountain District Attorney’s Office, Donaldson was sentenced to 6 years in the Department of Corrections, followed by 14 years of probation.
He will be required to abide by the sex offender conditions of probation.

Taff spent several days texting the girl about sexual habits and complimenting her body.
He later arranged a meet, and was met with Chattooga and Summerville authorities.
Taff was arrested, and later sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections, followed by 7 years of probation.
He will be required to abide by the sex offender conditions of probation.

Brock arrived at the gas station, and was met with Chattooga County authorities.
He was taken into custody and later entered a guilty plea.
Brock was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections, along with 18 years of probation.
He will be required to comply with sex offender conditions of probation and register as a sexual offender.
“This is a message to every predator out there: If you come into our Circuit looking to harm a child, you’re not walking away with a slap on the wrist—you’re going to prison. I’d like to thank our law enforcement partners for working some incredible cases and the community should thank Sheriff Mark Schrader and his team. We don’t take kindly to those who target our children. If you prey on our kids, the only person you will actually meet up with will be waiting for you in Cell Block 1.”
