Storm causes heavy damage in Palmer
PALMER, Tenn. (WDEF)- We are hearing of significant damage Saturday evening in Grundy County in the Palmer community.
These are pictures sent to us from Brandy Wooten on Rock Avenue in Palmer.
The Gruetli-Laager Fire Department says that damage occurred from a storm Saturday afternoon.
They say the roads of Daus Mountain Road, Tatesville Road, Bottom Road, and Rock Avenue were most heavily affected.
They reported multiple homes were damaged, along with trees and power lines.
Palmer Fire Department have requested assistance from the Dunlap Fire Department along from other departments across Grundy County.
The National Weather Service in Nashville will have to survey the area to determine if a tornado caused this damage.
