Student arrested for pulling a knife at Walker Valley High

CHARLESTON, Tennessee (WDEF) – A student at Walker Valley High in Bradley County has been charged with pulling a knife on another student at school.

School officials were notified that a threat had been made against at student around 1 PM.

School Resource Officers responded and located the suspect student.

They say they found a knife in his backpack back in the classroom and two more knives in his vehicle.

The victim said the suspect brandished the weapon.

But the suspect told officers he had not meant any real harm to anyone on campus.

Still, the juvenile was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault, Carrying Weapons on School Property, and Possession of a Vape.

“The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office would like to acknowledge our SRO’s for continuing to make the safety of students and staff a top priority and WVHS staff for following safety protocols without hesitation. We are also pleased to report that no one was harmed during this incident.”
