Student arrested for threat against Red Bank High School

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department says a juvenile was arrested on Sunday and charged in connection with a threat.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the tip when it was submitted anonymously by HCDE School Safety Officers through the Hamilton County Department of Education.

The tip concerned a Threat of Mass Violence at Red Bank High School.

An investigation was made, and the Red Bank High School School Resource Deputy and other deputies located the connected student’s address.

The student was found, arrested, and transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center and was charged with Threat of Mass Violence at a School.

The name of the student cannot be released since the student is a juvenile.
