Student arrested for threats against Hunter Middle School
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A student has been arrested after making threats against Hunter Middle School.
At 6:30 a.m. September 5, 2024, a school administrator alerted the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) School Resource Deputy (SRD) assigned to Hunter Middle of a possible threat made.
Once the student arrived at the school, they were immediately located by school administration.
The student and their property was searched, but no weapon was located.
HCSO reports the Hunter Middle School’s SRD obtained statements from witnesses indicating the student stated he was going to “shoot down the school.”
The student also framed his hand like a pistol, acting like he was shooting students.
He was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center being charged with Threats of Mass Violence.
