Students Design for Public Works
RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – Public Works Appreciation Week kicks off soon, and one local elementary student is helping celebrate in style.
The City of Red Bank Public Works Department partnered with Alpine Crest Elementary for a special T-shirt design contest.
Fourth and fifth graders were invited to create artwork highlighting the department’s vital role in the community.
Fifth-grade student Hudson Mynatt’s winning design is now printed on shirts for him and his classmates.
We asked just what this milestone means to him. Here is what he had to say:
“It means a lot because, well, I’m on the news, and it’s like my class is gonna get the shirts and like the city’s gonna be wearing them, and it’s just exciting.”
The special recognition event was held today to celebrate the young artist, with Red Bank’s Public Works Director on hand to present the shirts.
It’s a creative collaboration that inspires civic pride early on.
