Students see crossing guard hit and killed while directing traffic

MABLETON, Georgia (WDEF) A crossing guard in Cobb County, Georgia has been struck by a vehicle while directing traffic outside a school this morning.

The guard was killed in front of the students.

It happened outside Lindley Middle School in Mableton around Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Counselors have been called to the neighboring schools.

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.
