Summerville Boil Water Notice Lifted

Water supplies should be restored to everyone following flooding

SUMMERVILLE, Georgia (WDEF) – Officials have lifted the Boil Water Advisory for Summerville.

The flooding over Labor Day Weekend knocked out the local water supply system.

But officials say water service has now been restored and tests show it is safe to drink without boiling.

“All water samples are negative, no bacteria in the City of Summerville Water System.”

The city manager says anyone who is still having water issues should contact them at City Hall by calling 706-859-0900.

They dod still have bottler water at City Hall.
