Sunday Night Traffic Crash on Highway 58 Claims Hamilton County Schools Employee

Last night at approximately 9:56 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a Traffic Crash in the 5400 block of Highway 58.  Witness statements and evidence at the scene show that a White Chevrolet was southbound on Highway 58 attempting to make a left turn onto Hickory Valley Road.  A Red BMW was northbound on Highway 58 going straight.  The BMW struck the Chevrolet as it turned.  The passenger in the Chevrolet, Renita Puglisi, was killed as a result of the crash.  The investigation is still ongoing.  Puglisi was a Literacy Coordinator at Hardy Elementary School in Chattanooga.
