Early morning Super Tuesday

Vote Snip

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – It’s a rainy Tuesday for voters to go to the polls, but that didn’t stop people from trickling in first thing Tuesday morning.

Super Tuesday is March 5 in Tennessee, Alabama and North Carolina, but not Georgia.

Polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. in Hamilton County. Closing times can vary in other counties.

Casting your ballot in the mid-morning or midafternoon may shorten your wait time, according to poll workers.

Early morning, noon and after 5 p.m. are peak times, because people typically vote before work, after work or on their lunch breaks.

You must go to your local precinct to vote on Election Day.

It did not take long for the trickle of voters at 8 a.m. to turn into a small stream by 9 a.m., but most were in and out quickly.
