Suspect located in connection to Green Road homicide
UPDATE (12/18/2024): The suspect connected to the Green Road homicide has been arrested.
Chattanooga Police (CPD) located Dejuan Rowland in the 6900 block of Delbert Lane, December 17, 2024.
He was arrested for his outstanding warrants for First Degree Murder.
CPD’s homicide investigation revealed that Rowland was at the residence when the incident occurred.
Inside the residence was the victim and his mother.
According to CPD, the mother told Rowland to leave the residence several times.
He eventually went outside the residence and attempted to enter through a different door.
The victim attempted to prevent him from coming in, and Rowland fired several shots through the door.
Rowland was taken to the Hamilton County Jail & Detention Center.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has identified and is searching for the suspect in the Green Road homicide.
CPD stated that the suspect, Dejuan Rowland, is wanted for First Degree Murder.
This homicide occurred at 12:05 p.m., December 1, 2024.
CPD responded to the 6600 block of Green Road, where officers found a 17-year-old male with life-threatening injuries.
The 17-year-old was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
CPD’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.
Preliminary information reveals that the 17-year-old was inside a residence when he was shot by the suspect, who was outside the residence.
CPD also stated that Rowland is to be considered armed and dangerous.
