Suspect sought in Dalton theft from parked car
Dalton, GA (WDEF) – Dalton Police hope you can help identify a man who drove the getaway car for a theft from a parked car suspect.
Officials say the car was parking at the West Walnut Avenue Kroger store on January 6th at 1:45 p.m.
The victim left his wallet in the center console and his vehicle unlocked.
A maroon Ford Expedition backed into the space next to him, and the driver went inside the store.
After the driver returned, the passenger got into the victim’s car.
The victim’s wallet was stolen.
The passenger got back in the Expedition and they drove away.
A short time later, the victim discovered his wallet was gone and called police.
Police got store surveillance video of the driver of the Expedition entering the store.
He had on a brown Nike hoodie pullover, jeans, and an Alabama ball cap.
He’s not considered a suspect at this time, but police believe he can identify the suspect.
