Suspicious individual on Cumberland County High School campus arrested
CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — A suspicious suspect on the campus of Cumberland County High School (CCHS) was arrested yesterday.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) stated at approximately 8:33 a.m. December 4, 2024, the suspicious individual was detained on 4th Street.
Robert Alva Sardella, was previously walking on the campus of CCHS, and claimed to be looking for the driving school.
The School Resource Officer (SRO) and local law enforcement were quickly alerted, making a lockdown not necessary for CCHS.
After his arrest, multiple agencies were activated to further investigate this incident.
According to CCSO, during the search of Sardella, authorities found several items in a backpack on his person, including:
- A loaded handgun
- Taser
- Expandable Baton
- Chemical Weapon
- Addition Ammunition
Sardella is being charged with carrying weapons on school property.
He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail on a $55,000 bond.
