Taconooga Closes After 12 Years
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A restaurant on Chattanooga’s North Shore has closed its doors for good.
According to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, Taconooga shut down on December 26th.
The announcement did not include a reason for the closure.
Taconooga first opened in March of 2014 and served the North Shore community for nearly 12 years.
The restaurant was located on Frazier Avenue, in the same building where a deadly crash took place in 2023.
The restaurant’s location is also within walking distance of the Walnut Street Bridge, an area known for heavy pedestrian traffic and nearby businesses.
The closure has sparked conversation among community members, and News 12 will continue to follow how changes may impact surrounding North Shore businesses.
