TBI asks for public’s help to solve a Warren County murder

Hoping for tips on what led to the deadly encounter

MCMINNVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Agents with the TBI are reaching out to the public to ask for help in solving a murder in Warren County.

It happened on Sunday afternoon, October 24th.

36 year old Christopher Hollis was driving on Highway 70E just outside of McMinnville at Griffith Lane when he was shot by another motorist.

A female passenger was unharmed.

Authorities interviewed a possible suspect they who they believed fired the shot.

But he has relatives who work for both the County and City law enforcement plus the D-A’s office.

So the TBI was asked to handle the case.
