TBI investigates shooting connected to car burglary
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)- Early Saturday morning in Smyrna, around 2 a.m., police officers responded to a report of people breaking into vehicles at an apartment complex on Great Circle.
A foot chase followed, and for reasons still under review, the situation escalated.
At least one officer fired his gun, hitting one of the suspects.
The injured suspect was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated.
The second suspect’s location is unknown at this time.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
