3-month-old found safe after Chattanooga endangered child alert

UPDATE:

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says authorities have found the missing child.

They said Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers spotted the vehicle and determined the child was safe.

Here is what the TBI said on the incident:

“We are always grateful with a fast recovery on missing children, and are very appreciative of the relationship we have with our THP partners! Thanks for the help in getting the word out!”

In addition, TBI says Sean Ray Harvey is now in custody.

CPD UPDATE:

CPD has confirmed that this was a custodial interference– the dad took the child without permission early this morning. 

THP recognized the vehicle and pulled it over on I-75 south.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an endangered child alert for a missing 3-month-old baby.

According to the TBI and Chattanooga Police, Elijah Harvey is missing and possibly in danger.

Chattanooga Police said Elijah weighs 13 pounds. He was last seen wearing light blue pajamas with dinosaurs.

They believe he may with Sean Ray Harvey, who is 5’11” and weighs 175 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Sean Harvey is wanted for custodial interference and theft of an automobile over $10,000.

The TBI says the two may be traveling together in a blue 2016 Honda Civic. It has a Tennessee tag of “029 BKKB.” The car may also have a green Army magnet on the back and a pink elephant sticker on the rear window.
