TDOT finishes Signal Mountain Boulevard project

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Signal Mountain Boulevard project is finally over.

TDOT reports they finished the paving job Thursday afternoon.

Once the paint dries on the traffic lines, the road will re-open in time for the Friday morning drive.

The project stabilized the foundation of the road near the top of the mountain that threatened to slide.

For months, mountain residents have sat in lines, waiting for the traffic signal that alternated vehicles through one lane in the construction zone.
