Tech Goes Home Provides Low Cost Internet

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The internet is a useful tool, but it’s also something not everyone can afford.

Local organizations around Hamilton County are trying to change that.

East Lake Academy was one stop on what’s called the connectivity drive.

This is a campaign by companies to make sure everyone is able to get online.

Internet Service providers from around the area have all volunteered to provide low cost services to families.
These plans are budget friendly and anyone can qualify.

“A lot of these programs are for lower income but these programs are for everone um.. so whether your low income, middle income, or high income there is a program for everyone,” said Sammy Lowedermilk of the Tech Goes Home corporation.

Tech Goes Home will be appearing at many STEM schools, with the Red Bank schools next on the list.
