Teenage sisters killed in single-vehicle crash in Alabama
HEFLIN, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say two teenage sisters were killed in a single-vehicle crash in east Alabama.
Al.com reports that Cleburne County School officials say 15-year-old Haley and 17-year-old Britany Nicole Steadham were killed Friday. Both sisters attended Cleburne County High School.
Coroner Tracy Lambert says the sisters died in the crash around 3:30 p.m.
Authorities say one of the girls died at the scene. The other was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Heflin police are investing the crash.
