TennCare fugitive from Chattanooga caught after a year on the run.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police arrest six people for TennCare fraud in three different counties, including one from Chattanooga.

58 year old Linda Longley has been on the run from the law for the last year.

She was indicted by a Hamilton County grand jury two summers ago.

She faces six counts of fraudulently using TennCare to get painkillers.

Specifically, doctor shopping for Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and Tramadol.

5 of the 6 arrests for TennCare fraud involve prescription drugs.

The Office of Inspector General says these latest arrests bring the total of arrests to 2,702 since they began investigating them.

“Tennessee’s hard working taxpayers have zero tolerance for TennCare fraud and abuse,” Inspector General Manny Tyndall said.  “We are collaborating with law enforcement officers in all 95 counties to prosecute anyone we identify who is misusing TennCare benefits.”
