Tennessee American reports new water main break in south Chattanooga

Tennessee American Water has updated their estimated repair time for the water main break in St. Elmo and Lookout Valley.

They expect the break to be fixed by 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate customers’ patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue,” Tennessee American Water stated.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Water companies are still having problems after a week of frigid temperatures.

Tennessee American Water reports a main break this morning that affects south Chattanooga.

The break was on Scenic Highway on the side of Lookout Mountain around 8 a.m.

It is affecting water pressure and quality in the Lookout Valley and St. Elmo areas.

Tenn-Am officials expect the line to be repaired by five tonight.
