Tennessee extends FAFSA application deadline

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Tennessee is once again pushing back the deadline to apply for federal scholarship money.

If you want to land a Tennessee Promise scholarship, you need to fill out a “Free Application for Federal Student Aid,” or FAFSA for short.

The Tennessee Higher Education Commission is pushing back the deadline to fill it out until August 1, 2024.

That should give students enough time to make their final college decisions.

The state reorganized the FAFSA application process this year, but some students are still having problems filling them out.
