Tennessee & Georgia fire crews assisting in house, woods fire

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) and the Catoosa County Fire Department (CCFD) are working together to contain a house fire that spread into nearby woods along the Tennessee-Georgia state line.

CFD responded to the 600 block of Graysville Road at around 2:30 p.m., where they found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames.

The fire quickly spread to several acres of wooded area behind the home, threatening nearby residences.

Firefighters from both Tennessee and Georgia are actively working to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.

Officials have not yet released details on the cause of the fire.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
