Tennessee Guard air medics rescue Smoky Mountain hiker

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee National Guard made a medical flight rescue in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The latest happened on Monday night.
The air rescue team flew to Icewater Spring, which is about the 5,000-foot level in the park to pull out a hiker who needed medical attention.
They hoisted the hiker into the Blackhawk helicopter and flew the victim to UT Medical Centre in Knoxville.
The entire operation took about a couple of hours.
